Police arrest woman after drug investigation, South Australia

A woman will face court following an ongoing investigation into illicit drugs being sent to Yatala Labour Prison.

Police will allege the woman had posted prescription medication to a prisoner known to her between May and August.

Yesterday, detectives from Police Corrections Team along with members from the Department of Corrections Operations Security Unit, attended a North Adelaide address where they arrested the woman.

The 44-year-old from North Adelaide was charged with 14 counts of trafficking a controlled drug and bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 26 October.
