Police Update: Robbery With Violence, Labrador

Police have charged three boys following the alleged assault and robbery of a man whose vehicle was stolen at Labrador on 21 July.

It will be alleged that around 1am, three males entered a ride-share vehicle on Marine Parade and forced the 26-year-old driver to exit the 2018 White Toyota Corolla before chasing him on foot.

The driver was then allegedly assaulted before the males stole his mobile phone and vehicle.

He sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital.

The stolen vehicle was then located by police at 1.06am on Bath Street at Labrador.

Subsequent investigations lead to the arrest two teenage boys earlier this month:

A 16-year-old Nerang boy was charged with one count each of robbery in company using personal violence and enter premises and commit indictable offence.

He was scheduled to appear at the Southport Children's Court on 5 August.

A 14-year-old Labrador boy was charged with one count each of robbery in company using personal violence, enter premises and commit indictable offence and possess utensils.

He was scheduled to appear at the Southport Children's Court on 12 August.

Yesterday, a 15-year-old Parkwood boy was arrested and charged with one count each of robbery in company using personal violence and enter premises and commit indictable offence.

He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Children's Court tomorrow, 19 August.
