Police arrest woman after stabbing in CBD, South Australia

A woman has been arrested following a serious assault in the CBD.

Just before midday on Thursday 11 February, patrols were called to the Grenfell Street after reports of a man having been stabbed in the chest by a woman known to him with a pair of scissors.

Police raced to the scene, locating the suspect a short distance away on Charles Street and allegedly in possession of a pair of scissors.

The 44-year-old from Prospect was charged with serious assault. She is expected to be refused bail and will front the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today.

The victim was taken to the Royal Adelaide with a minor stab wound to the chest.
