Police arrest woman over suspected animal baiting incidents across Armadale

Malvern police have arrested a woman in relation to suspected animal baiting incidents across Armadale.

A member of the public allegedly observed the woman laying pieces of meat along High Street last night.

Upon police attendance, the woman was arrested, and suspected baits were retrieved from approximately 19 sites along High Street, between Glenferrie Road and Orrong Road.

Police interviewed the 52-year-old woman from Prahran at Malvern Police Station last night, before she was released pending summons.

The suspected baits are currently undergoing further examination to determine exactly what substances they contain.

Victoria Police has notified the RSPCA in relation to this matter and will continue to work collaboratively to address any incidences of animal cruelty in our community.
