Police charge five men over heroin trafficking in Richmond

Officers from the Melbourne Divisional Response Unit have charged five men accused of drug trafficking in Richmond today.

The men, aged between 41 and 53-years-old, were allegedly trafficking heroin on Victoria Street.

A 41-year-old man from Melbourne has been charged with trafficking methylamphetamine, possess methamphetamine, possess heroin, deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

A 48-year-old man from Fitzroy has been charged with trafficking heroin, possess heroin and deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

A 45-year-old man from Fitzroy has been charged with trafficking heroin, possess heroin and deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

A 54-year-old man from Richmond has been charged with trafficking heroin, possess heroin and deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime.

A 53-year-old man from Richmond has been charged with trafficking heroin possess heroin, deal property suspected of being proceeds of crime and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.

The five men have been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court this evening.
