Police charge four after Cranbourne West serious assault

Police have charged four men following an alleged assault and attempted aggravated burglary in Cranbourne West this morning.

It's alleged three men were outside a Push-Pea Way address at a New Year's Eve celebration when they were allegedly confronted by up to eight males about 1.40am.

A 48-year-old Cranbourne West man was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 41-year-old Noble Park man and a 30-year-old Narre Warren man were also taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 21-year-old Traralgon man and three Pakenham men, aged 19, 21 and 22 have been charged with serious assault, aggravated burglary and affray.

All four have been remanded to appear in Dandenong Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
