Police have charged four teenagers following the alleged unlawful use of a motor vehicle in Kirwan on Friday night.
Around 10.20pm on March 5, police located an alleged stolen vehicle at a petrol station on Thurningowa Drive in Kirwan.
When police approached the vehicle, two teenagers were taken into custody and three teenagers fled the scene. The three teenagers were apprehended a short time later.
A 17-year-old boy was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and three counts of possessing drug utensils. He has been remanded in custody to reappear in Townsville Childrens Court later this month.
A 14-year-old boy was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and driving without a licence. He has been remanded in custody to reappear in Townsville Childrens Court later this month.
A 15-year-old girl was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and possessing drug utensils and is due to reappear in Townsville Childrens Court later this month.
A 14-year-old girl was charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and is due to reappear in Townsville Childrens Court later this month.
The fifth teenager was released without charge pending further investigations.
The vehicle was reported stolen from a Mundingburra residence on March 4.
