Police charge man after $20,000 seized - Strike Force Voller

A man will face court later this month after police seized drugs and cash in the state's far north yesterday.

In June 2020, detectives from Central North Police District established Strike Force Voller to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Cobar area.

Following investigations, strike force officers executed two search warrants simultaneously at Cobar and Nymagee shortly after 9.30am on Thursday 8 July 2020.

Officers located and seized cannabis and drug paraphernalia at a home in Denman Street, Cobar.

During the search of a home in Graham Street, Nymagee, officers located and seized cannabis, drug paraphernalia and over $20,000 in cash.

A 52-year-old man was arrested at Denman Street and taken to Cobar Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of possess prohibited drugs, supply prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime.

The man was given conditional bail to appear at Cobar Local Court on Wednesday 29 July 2020.
