Police Charge Man After Assaulting Child At Goulburn

A man has been charged with allegedly assaulting a child in Goulburn last week.

On Friday 24 October 2025, officers attached to the Hume Police District commenced an investigation following reports a three-week old child was assaulted at a home in Goulburn.

It will be alleged that about 1.30pm on Wednesday 22 October 2025, a 28-year-old man forced a dummy into the mouth a child before tossing the child across the bed.

Medical attention was immediately sought for the child.

Following inquiries about 9.50pm yesterday (Friday 24 October 2025), the man was arrested at a home in Goulburn.

He was taken to Goulburn Police Station and charged with common assault.

He was refused bail and appeared before Parramatta Local Court today (Saturday 25 October 2025), where he was formally refused bail to appear before Goulburn Local Court on Tuesday 28 October 2025.
