Police charge man after Bacchus Marsh pursuit

Police have charged a man following an alleged aggravated burglary, armed robbery and firearms incident in Melton on Sunday, 1 May.

Police pursued the vehicle to Bacchus Marsh before the man was arrested on Bond Street about 12.50pm.

The 24-year-old was discharged from hospital today and interviewed.

He has been charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, traffic offences, theft of motor vehicle, prohibited person possess firearm, dangerous driving whilst being pursued by police, reckless conduct endangering life, going equipped to steal and drug related offences.

The Box Hill man will appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court via video link tonight for a remand hearing.
