Homicide Squad detectives have charged a man following the death of a woman in Bendoc early this morning.
Emergency services were called following reports of an alleged assault about 3.30am.
Police arrived at the address and located a 65-year-old woman deceased.
Detectives have charged a 64-year-old Bendoc man with one count on murder.
He was remanded to appear at Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
