Police Charge Man After Box Hill Stabbing

Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a stabbing in Box Hill this morning.

A 55-year-old Blackburn South man was located with serious injuries at Box Hill Railway Station just after 4.30am.

He was transported to hospital in a non-life-threatening condition.

Police will allege he sustained his injuries at an apartment complex on Elland Avenue.

A 59-year-old man was arrested at the address a short time later.

He's been charged with offences including attempted murder, intentionally cause serious injury and recklessly cause serious injury.

The Box Hill man was remanded to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 21 October.

The two men are known to each other.
