A man has been charged following an alleged disruption on Sydney's transport network yesterday.
About 7.40am yesterday (Thursday 23 October 2025), officers attached to Riverina Police District were called to Junee Railway Station following reports of a disruption on a train travelling between Sydney CBD and Melbourne.
Upon arrival, officers were told a man had locked himself in a toilet cubicle and was allegedly verbally threatening other passengers.
The man was removed from the train where he was arrested by Detectives attached to Riverina Police District and officers attached to the Police Transport Command – South West and taken to Junee Police Station.
There he was charged with commit s114 offence, having previous conviction, cause obstruction to railway locomotive or rolling stock, smoke in or on public passenger vehicle, train, public area, and destroy or damage property.
The man was refused bail to appear at Local Bail Division Court 5 today (Friday 24 October 2025).
