Police charge man after drugs seized - Raptor Squad

A man has been charged after drugs were seized during a search of a home in Sydney's west today.

As part of ongoing targeting and disruption of the illicit activities of criminal networks, officers from the Raptor Squad conducted a Firearm Protection Order compliance check at a house in Northmead about 6.45am (Wednesday 17 March 2021).

During the search, officers seized a quantity of cannabis and cannabis oil. A 28-year-old man was issued a Court Attendance Notice for two counts of possess prohibited drug.

He will appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 28 April 2021.

A set of knuckle dusters were also located, and a 15-year-old boy will be dealt with under the Young Offenders Act and was issued a youth caution for possessing a prohibited weapon.

Strike Force Raptor was established in 2009, before becoming a standalone squad in 2021.
