Police Charge Man After Evading Police In Wodonga

Wodonga Police have charged a man with more than 20 offences after a vehicle was allegedly seen driving at high speed and erratically in Wodonga last week.

It is alleged that a red Holden Commodore was spotted by police travelling at speeds of up to 180km/h in heavy traffic throughout the town about 3pm on 3 April.

With the assistance of the Air Wing, police allegedly found the vehicle dumped in a shopping centre carpark in South Street.

Investigators executed a warrant at an address on McGaffin Court and arrested a man and a woman yesterday.

Police located and seized a smartphone, a car key and clothing.

A 25-year-old Wodonga woman was released and is expected to be charged on summons.

A 32-year-old Wodonga man was charged with offences including:

• drive manner dangerous

• reckless conduct endanger life,

• drive at a speed dangerous

• reckless conduct endanger serious injury

• unlicenced driving.

• intentionally cause injury

• recklessly cause injury,

• aggravated assault

• criminal damage

• stalk another person

• theft of motor vehicle

• criminal damage by fire, and

He was remanded to appear before Wodonga Magistrates' Court today.
