A man will face court charged after a fatal public place shooting in Sydney's west yesterday.
About 11.50am on Friday 28 November 2025, police were called to Carinya Street, Blacktown, following reports of a public place shooting.
Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attended and found a 28-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his neck, chest and leg.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, but he died at the scene.
At the same time, police attempted to stop a Mazda utility that was seen leaving the scene.
When the vehicle allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit was terminated a short time later when the vehicle crashed on Kildare Road.
Two occupants allegedly ran from the scene and were arrested a short time later.
The two men – aged 18 and 25 – were taken to Blacktown Police Station.
The older man was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries where he remains under police guard.
The younger man was charged with murder, take and drive conveyance without consent of owner and police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously.
He was refused bail and will appear before Bail Division Court 6 today (Saturday 29 November 2025).
