Police charge man after impersonating a police officer on social media at Camden

A man has been charged after he allegedly impersonated a police officer on social media last week.

On 19 May 2021 police received information that there were several social media posts of a man wearing a police shirt stating he was a senior constable in the New South Wales Police Force.

Camden Proactive Crime Team commenced an investigation and following further inquiries, today (Monday 24 May 2021), arrested a 28-year-old man at Narellan Police Station.

He was charged with impersonate a police officer and not officer/special constable wear uniform.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday 22 June 2021.
