Police charge man after Melton shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following a non-fatal shooting in Melton yesterday.

The 27-year-old Melton man has been charged with intentionally cause injury, reckless conduct endangering life and prohibited person use firearm.

He was remanded and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.

The charges follow the alleged shooting of a 25-year-old Melton man in the driveway of a property on Faye Street about 4pm yesterday afternoon.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and police believe the parties are known to each other.

Investigators are not searching for anyone else in relation to the incident.
