Police charge man after Mincha shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following an alleged shooting in Mincha this morning (11 June).

It is understood a woman had been with two friends on Mincha-Canary Island Road about 3.20am when she was allegedly shot at.

The 21-year-old Epsom woman was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 69-year-old Mincha man was arrested a short time later at an address on Mincha-Canary Island Road.

He has since been charged with a number of offences, including reckless conduct endangering life, intentionally cause injury and prohibited person use a firearm.

The man has been remanded to appear at Bendigo Magistrates' Court tomorrow (12 June).
