Police charge man after Mordialloc homicide

Police have charged a man following a fatal shooting in Mordialloc on Thursday evening.

Emergency Services were called to an address in McDonald Street about 9.10pm after reports of gunshots.

On arrival police found two people with critical injuries.

They were treated at the scene but unfortunately died.

Officers searched the area and a man was taken into custody a short time later.

A 73-year-old Mordialloc man has been charged with two counts of murder, conduct endangering life and assault police serious.

He is expected to face the Melbourne Magistrates Court later this evening.
