Homicide Squad detectives have this afternoon charged a man following the fatal assault of a male in Morwell on Saturday.
A 43-year-old Morwell man was arrested by police in Traralgon.
He has now been charged with one count of murder and will appear before the Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
The charge follows an incident where emergency services were called to reports a male had been located deceased with significant injuries inside a property on Langford Street, Morwell just before 4:00pm on Sunday, 12 July.
A 58-year-old Morwell man was located deceased at the scene.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
