A man has been charged after allegedly breaching his AVO multiple times whilst in a correctional facility in the state's west.
Officers attached to Nepean Domestic Violence Team commenced an investigation following reports an inmate at a correctional facility near Wellington had been allegedly breaching his Apprehended Domestic Violence order between January 2025 and September 2025.
Police will allege the 40-year-old man breached his AVO by way of contact 1,572 times, whilst in correctives custody.
Today (Friday 10 October 2025), the man was issued a Court Attendance Notice charged with six counts of knowingly contravene 3rd+ time in 28 days AVO.
He was refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 19 November 2025.
