Police charge man after necklace theft from Werribee

Police have arrested a man in relation to the alleged theft of a gold necklace valued at $36,000 from a jewellery store in Werribee earlier this month.

It's alleged a man entered the Heaths Road store on 7 April and left the store without paying for a necklace.

Investigators executed a warrant at an address in Point Cook today and arrested a Point Cook man.

The 38-year-old has been charged with theft and bailed to appear at the Werribee Magistrates' Court later this year.
