A man has been charged by Homicide Squad detectives following a fatal assault in Noble Park early this morning.
Emergency services were called to an address in Lesley Grove about 1.10am after reports of an assault.
Paramedics worked on an injured 25-year-old Springvale man found at the property, however he died at the scene.
A 30-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and has subsequently been charged with murder.
He will appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court tonight.
A 24-year-old Officer man has been released without charge.
Investigators believe the parties involved were known to each other.
