Police charge man after Norlane collision

Geelong Highway Patrol officers have charged a man following a collision which has left a 68-year-old man in hospital with serious injuries.

The crash happened when two vehicles, an orange Holden sedan and a silver Ford sedan, collided on the Princes Highway in Norlane about 5.20pm yesterday.

The driver of the Ford, a 68-year-old Norlane man, was taken to hospital after sustaining serious injuries.

The driver of the Holden, a 33-year-old man from Lovely Banks, has been charged with dangerous driving causing injury.

He has been bailed to attend the Geelong Magistrates' Court on 21 October.

Investigators are keen to speak to the driver of a late-model silver Holden station wagon that was allegedly seen travelling on the Princes Highway with the orange Holden sedan prior to the collision.

The driver of the late-model silver Holden wagon failed to stop at the scene of the crash and investigators are appealing for this driver and any other occupants to come forward.
