Police Charge Man After Norlane Crash

Police have charged a man following a crash in Norlane in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The 25-year-old man has been charged with more than 15 offences including:

  • prohibited person possess firearm
  • traffick and possess cocaine, methylamphetamine, LSD and heroin
  • possess cartridge ammunition
  • theft of motor vehicle
  • reckless conduct endangering life
  • drug driving
  • commit indicatable offence whilst on bail
  • and other property, drugs and traffic offences.

The charges follow a single vehicle crash involving an allegedly stolen car on Sparks Road about 1am.

An alleged search of the vehicle uncovered a sawn-off shotgun and quantities of alleged drugs.

The Whittington man appeared before Geelong Magistrates' Court later the same day where he was remanded in custody to today (7 August).
