Police charge man after pharmacy incident at Auburn

A man has been charged after an incident at a pharmacy in Sydney's west earlier this week.

About 11.30pm (Monday 19 October 2020), officers from Auburn Police Area Command received reports a customer was acting aggressively towards a pharmacist at a pharmacy on Auburn Road, Auburn.

It's alleged the man pushed a safety screen onto the pharmacist, before leaving the store.

No one was injured during the incident.

Following inquiries, Auburn police arrested a 40-year-old man at a home on Zillah Street, Merrylands about 12pm today (Friday 23 October 2020).

He was taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with common assault and destroy or damage property.

The man has been bail refused to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Saturday 24 October 2020).
