Police Charge Man After Pursuit At Tamworth 7 November

A man has faced court today charged with breach of bail, following an alleged pursuit in the state's northeast this morning.

About 4.30am (Friday 7 November 2025) a Toyota sedan allegedly failed to stop for a roadside breath test in Coorong Street, South Tamworth.

When the driver allegedly failed to stop, officers attached to Oxley Police District initiated a pursuit, with the Toyota sedan colliding with a kerb shortly after.

Three male occupants of the car – all wearing dark clothing – ran from the vehicle following the crash.

A foot pursuit ensued, with officers locating and arresting a 21-year-old man in Elm Street, South Tamworth.

Upon searching the vehicle, police located and seized several concealed firearm parts and registration plates which are believed to have been stolen.

The man was taken to Tamworth Police Station where he was charged with breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Local Court 5 today (Friday 7 November 2025).

Investigations are ongoing.
