Police Charge Man After Pursuit Of Stolen Car - Kariong

Police have charged a man after a pursuit across the Central Coast earlier today.

About 2:00pm today (Thursday 17 July 2025), police were told a Nissan Navara had allegedly been stolen from a worksite in Charlton Street, Woy Woy.

About 2:50pm officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District and Traffic Highway Patrol began proactive patrols of the area.

A short time later, the vehicle crashed on the Central Coast Highway, Kariong.

Following a short foot pursuit, a 24-year-old man was arrested.

He was taken to Gosford Police Station where he was charged with five offences – take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, police pursuit – not stop drive dangerously, drive manner dangerous, unlicensed driver and refuse to submit to an oral fluid test.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Friday 17 July 2025).
