A man will face court charged following an alleged public place shooting in Sydney's southwest yesterday.
Detectives from Auburn Police Area Command commenced an investigation after a man was reportedly shot in the foot.
Just before 1am yesterday (Wednesday 8 April 2026), police were notified after a 35-year-old man presented to Auburn Hospital with a gunshot wound.
The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A vehicle was located in the car park and seized for forensic examination.
Following extensive inquiries, about 3.45pm today (Thursday 9 April 2026), officers arrested a 32-year-old man at a home on Martin Street, Lidcombe.
He was taken to Auburn Police Station where he was charged with discharge firearm intend cause grievous bodily harm and acquire ammunition subject to prohibition.
The man was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court tomorrow (Friday 10 April 2026).
