Police charge man after South Yarra stabbing

Police have charged a man following an alleged stabbing in South Yarra on Sunday.

Investigators believe the alleged assault took place at a property on Simmons Court just after 8am on 23 February.

The victim, a 44-year-old South Yarra man, remains in hospital with serious injuries.

Police arrested a 22-year-old South Yarra man at the scene and have since charged him with attempted murder, intentionally cause serious injury and recklessly cause serious injury.

He has been remanded to reappear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
