Police charge man after Springvale hotel incident

Southern Metropolitan Divisional Response Unit members have charged a 46-year-old Noble Park man following an incident at a licensed premises in July.

It is alleged a man armed with knives entered the premises at the intersection of Heatherton Road and Springvale Road, Springvale about 11.10pm and threatened staff and patrons.

Police were called and arrested the 46-year-old who was taken to hospital for treatment.

Today officers charged the Noble Park man with numerous offences including affray, threats to inflict serious injury and assault.

He was remanded into custody and will appear at Dandenong Magistrates' Court on Tuesday 9 August.
