Just after 2.20pm on Tuesday 20 July 2021, emergency services were called to a carpark on Vulcan Street, Moruya, after reports of an assault.

Police have been told an 83-year-old man was in the carpark when he was approached by an unknown man allegedly who knocked him to the ground and stole his car keys, before fleeing the scene in the man’s vehicle.

The elderly man was treated at the scene for knee and arm injuries, before being taken to Moruya Hospital in a stable condition; he has since been released.
