A man has been charged over an alleged assault in Sydney's south west last year.
Officers attached to Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation following reports of an assault at a plaza on Chapel Road, Bankstown, about 8pm on Sunday 14 December 2025.
Police were told the 43-year-old man had allegedly been assaulted by a 42-year-old man.
Following inquiries, the 42-year-old man was arrested at Sydney Airport yesterday (Thursday 7 May 2026).
He was taken to Maroubra Police Station, where he was charged with common assault and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm.
He was granted conditional bail to appear before Bankstown Local Court on Thursday 28 May 2026.
