Police charge man over Cannabis crop in California Gully

A man has been charged following the seizure of Cannabis believed to be in excess of $1M in California Gully.

Officers from the Central Victoria Response Unit executed a warrant at an address on Eaglehawk Road this morning and located a large quantity of plants and dried Cannabis.

A man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with cultivating a commercial quantity of cannabis, traffick a commercial quantity of cannabis, possess a substance to manufacture a drug of dependence to traffick, theft and resist police.

A 27-year-old Bendigo man has been remanded to appear before Bendigo Magistrates' Court on 27 May.
