Shortly after the arrest, detectives executed a search warrant at the man's home and seized mobile phones, a laptop computer, a desktop computer and electronic storage devices.

The man was taken to a local police station and charged with nine offences, including sexual intercourse with child under the age of 10 years, have sexual intercourse with person between the ages of 10 and 14, use child under 14 years to make child abuse material (x3), disseminate child abuse material, and possess child abuse material (x3).

He was refused bail to appear at Inverell Local Court today (Friday 27 September 2019).
