A man wanted over an alleged child sexual assault at Dubbo has been arrested and charged.
Detectives from Orana/Mid-Western Police District had been investigating the incident, in which a girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by the man at a property in Dubbo on Wednesday night.
Following inquiries, about 10.30am today (Friday 19 July 2019), officers attended a rural property on Tonnigie Road, Dubbo, and arrested a 56-year-old man.
He was taken to Dubbo Police Station and charged with aggravated sexual intercourse without consent – under 16 years (x2), and attempted aggravated sexual intercourse without consent – under 16 years.
He was refused bail to appear at Dubbo Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 20 July 2019).
