Police charge man over fatal two-vehicle crash near Penrith

A man has been charged following an investigation into a fatal crash in Sydney's west earlier this month.

About 7.30am on Tuesday 2 November 2021, emergency services were called to The Northern Road, near Spinks Road, Llandilo, following reports a truck and car had collided.

The driver of the car, a 28-year-old woman, died at the scene.

The driver of the truck – a 20-year-old man – sustained minor injuries and was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment and mandatory testing.

Officers from Nepean Police Area Command established a crime scene and officers from the Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, the 20-year-old man was arrested at Mt Druitt Police Station yesterday (Monday 15 November 2021).

He was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death – drive manner dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear before Mt Druitt Local Court on Wednesday 24 November 2021.
