Police charge man over historical sexual assault of child - Dundas

A man will appear in court today charged over the alleged historical sexual assault of a boy in Sydney's north-west.

In November 2019, officers from Ryde Police Area Command commenced an investigation after receiving reports a child was sexually assaulted between 1984 and 1985 by a man known to him.

Following inquiries, detectives arrested a 63-year-old man at a home on Elsie Street, Earlwood, just before 1pm yesterday (Monday 23 December 2019).

He was taken to Burwood Police Station and charged with homosexual intercourse with male >10 &

Police will allege in court the child met the man while attending after school cadet classes near Parramatta. Its alleged the man sexually assaulted the 12-year-old boy at his then home in Marrickville.
