Police charge man over sexual abuse of six-year-old boy

A man has been charged over the alleged sexual abuse of a boy in Sydney's north-west.

Earlier this month, detectives from the State Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following reports a six-year-old boy had been sexually abused by a man known to him.

Following extensive investigations, a 33-year-old man was arrested at Marayong about 11.30am yesterday (Monday 14 October 2019).

The man was taken to Riverstone Police Station and charged with sexual intercourse with child under 10 years.

He was refused bail to appear at Blacktown Local Court today (Tuesday 15 October 2019).

The Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate matters against children and adults, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse, and extreme cases of neglect.
