A man will face court today charged following the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Sydney's southwest yesterday.
About 1.45pm (Tuesday 2 December 2025) emergency services were called to a park on Leacocks Lane, Casula, following reports a woman was unconscious.
Officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area command were told that a man had allegedly sexually assaulted a woman before leaving the scene.
The 18-year-old woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and was taken to Liverpool hospital in a critical condition.
Following extensive inquiries, police arrested a 27-year-old man on Canberra Avenue, Casula.
He was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with aggravated sexual assault.
The 27-year-old man was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Wednesday 3 December 2025).
