A man will appear at court today charged over the alleged sexual touching of a teenage girl in Sydney's west.
In April this year, detectives from the State Crime Command's Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following reports a 17-year-old girl had been sexually touched by a man, known to her.
Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 52-year-old man at a home in Bankstown about 9.30am on Thursday 6 May 2021.
Investigators executed a search warrant at the home and seized a number of items for further examination.
The man was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with three counts of sexually touch person aged between 16 and 18 years under special care.
Police will allege in court that the man sexually touched the girl at various locations in Bankstown between January and April 2021.
He was strict granted conditional bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Wednesday 26 May 2021).
Investigations are continuing.
