Police Charge Man Over Stabbing - Fairfield Heights 17 August

A man has been charged over an alleged stabbing in Sydney's south-west.

About 8pm yesterday (Saturday 16 August 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a man being stabbed inside a home at Camden Street, Fairfield Heights.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 69-year-old man for a stab wound at the scene, before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command arrested a man – aged 65 – at the scene and he was taken to Cabramatta Police Station.

A crime scene was established and examined by specialist police.

Police will allege both men reside at the same premises.

The man was charged with reckless wounding (DV) and stalk/intimidation intend fear physical etc harm (domestic) and refused bail, to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 17 August 2025).
