Police charge man over 'up-skirting' of teen at Mittagong fast food outlet

Police have charged a man after he allegedly used a mobile phone to 'up-skirt' a teenage girl in the Southern Highlands last week.

Officers from The Hume Police District commenced an investigation following reports a man filmed under the skirt of a 17-year-old girl at a fast food outlet in Mittagong about 5.30pm last Thursday (17 December 2020).

Police have been told a member of the public confronted the man, before he left in a vehicle.

Following inquiries, officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command arrested a 38-year-old man at a home in Lethbridge Park about 10:30am today (Sunday 20 December 2020).

A mobile phone was seized for forensic examination.

The man was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station and charged with intentionally record intimate image without consent and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

He has been refused bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court tomorrow (Monday 21 December 2020).
