Police charge man with affray - Canley Heights

Officers from Strike Force Imbara have arrested and charged a man with affray for his alleged role in a fight at a restaurant in Canley Heights earlier this month.

About 9.50pm on Friday 1 November 2019, four men, one armed with a stick, allegedly assaulted another man near a restaurant on Canley Vale Road.

Glasses and furniture were also allegedly thrown, before the four men fled the location.

The 21-year-old man suffered minor injuries and did not seek medical treatment.

About 9.20am yesterday, (Wednesday 20 November 2019), Strike Force Imbara officers attended a residence on Longfield Street, Cabramatta and arrested a 20-year-old man.

He was taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged with affray.

The man was refused bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on Wednesday 27 November 2019.

Further arrests and charges are expected.
