Police charge man with damage at Middleton General Store overnight

Police have charged a Middleton man following a damage incident at the Middleton General Store overnight.

Around 10.55pm police responded to reports of a man using a chainsaw to cut fuel hoses at the Store on Channel Highway.

Police attended and took a 53-year-old Middleton man into custody. He has been charged with Unlawfully possess dangerous article in a public place and Injure property. He has been bailed to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.

No one was injured and the parties were known to each other.
