Police charge man with drug supply at Lake Illawarra

A man has been charged with drug supply following a strike force investigation in the Illawarra.

In January 2020, officers from Lake Illawarra Police District's Drug Unit established Strike Force Irma to target the supply of prohibited drugs, namely cocaine, in the Illawarra region.

Following extensive inquiries, about 10.20am today (Monday 27 July 2020), police attended a home in Cringila and arrested a 33-year-old man.

The man was taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station, where he was charged with five counts of supply prohibited drug on an ongoing basis.

He was refused bail and is due to appear in Wollongong Local Court today (Monday 27 July 2020).

Investigations are continuing.
