Police charge man with drug supply - Riverina

Police have charged a man with drug supply following an ongoing investigation in the state's Riverina region.

Strike Force Arramagong was established in April this year to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Junee area.

About 8.15am yesterday (Thursday 24 June 2021), officers attached to Wagga Wagga Regional Enforcement Squad executed a search warrant at a property on Cross Street, Junee.

Police seized cannabis, methylamphetamine, a motor vehicle and almost $50,000 cash, which is alleged to be the proceeds of crime.

A 24-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Junee Police Station, where he was charged with four counts of supply prohibited drug, receiving stolen property – theft – serious indictable offence, two counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, and breach of bail.

The man was refused bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court today (Friday 25 June 2021).

Investigations continue.
