Police charge man with drug supply - South Coast

A man has been charged following an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs on the state's South Coast.

Earlier this month, officers from South Coast Police District commenced an investigation after receiving information about a vehicle that was transporting prohibited drugs in and around the Shoalhaven area.

Following extensive inquiries, police stopped a white Mitsubishi on Quinns Lane, South Nowra about 3.20am today (Wednesday 20 May 2020).

Officers searched the vehicle and allegedly located almost 25 grams of 'ice', cash, drug paraphernalia and liquid believed to be GHB.

The driver, a 34-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station, where he was charged with supply prohibited drug and deal with property proceeds of crime.

He was granted conditional bail to appear in Nowra Local Court on Monday 20 July 2020.

Inquiries are continuing.
