Police charge man with filming woman in shower in Sydney

Police have charged a man after he allegedly filmed a woman in a change room in the Sydney CBD yesterday.

About 10am Wednesday 22 January 2020, a woman entered a shower cubicle at an office building in Pyrmont.

Police will allege the 45-year-old woman noticed a mobile phone over the top of the shower door pointing in her direction.

The woman gave chase but the man holding the phone allegedly ran from the location.

Officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command were informed and commenced investigations.

About 10am today (Thursday 23 January 2020), police attended a location in Glebe and spoke to a 25-year-old man.

He was arrested and taken to Sydney City Police station where he was charged with observe person in private act without consent.

The man was given strict conditional bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 19 February 2020.
